Role Definition

OVERALL PURPOSE OF ROLE:

 

Act as the reference point for PM topics during tender phase by working with Sales Managers, preparing all required documents and participating to negotiation rounds with key customers. PPL Prepares approximately 100 tenders each year.

 

 

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Is the focal point for all PM Related tenders’ activities
  • For each of the approx. 100 tender / year, review contractual Terms & Conditions, Employer Requirements and Licensing requirements (i.e. read all PM contractual documentation)
  • Once reviewed, identify list of documents to be submitted as part of the RfQ Reply package
  • Prepare each document required during tender phase, customize documentation as needed to comply with Customer Requirements
  • Usually the list of docs consists as a minimum
    • Customized Project Execution Plan
    • Organization Chart of the Bid
    • Package of proposed Curriculum Vitae
    • Customized Documentation as per Employer Requirements
    • Package of supporting templated
    • Customized Monthly Report
    • Procedures like
      • License Management
      • Interface Management
      • Resource management
      • Risk Management
      • Time Management
      • Document Management
  • Prepare PM budget cost to be submitted to Sales Managers by reviewing Resource requirements, resource availability, allocating project team and matching the workload with the proposed Plan of Work
  • Prepare budget cost also for Quality & HSE Teams
  • Manage clarification Log / customer specific questions by answering through the appropriate communication channel established by the client
  • Participate in internal meetings to discuss progress of the tender (kick off, status update, etc)
  • Participate in meeting with clients to negotiate PM Topics
  • Support Sales manager in reviewing the contract Terms & Conditions (for PM topics, e.g. client review time for documentation issue, claims timing, liabilities, etc)

Qualification

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • Advanced knowledge of ISO 21500 and PMI / PMBOK 5th or 6th edition
  • Knowledge of Risk Management ISO 31000 / Monte Carlo techniques
  • Knowledge of ISO9001 requirements
  • Experience in Oil & Gas PM requirements
  • Knowledge of Project Control
  • Approved Project Management qualification (IPMA, PMP, PRINCE or similar)
  • Availability to travel intensively.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS office package
  • Minimum 12 years experience as a Project Manager
  • Significant time spent in the negotiation and control of external service suppliers and contractors
  • Fluent in English
