Job Offer Senior Naval Engineer - Staff - Major Operator

Role Definition

RoleOverview/Purpose

SeniorNaval Engineer will be required to:

·       Participatein the concept selection and design of floating structures;

·       Designand follow-up the engineering activities as well as the construction offloating structures (both new-built and converted);

·       Coordinatethe design activities and provide technical support during execution phases;

·       Definetender documentation and carry out technical evaluations of tender;

·       Bethe Technical Authority and, if needed, the Technical Coordinator on all aspectsof naval engineering with respect to liaison with Contractors, waiver requestand compliance with project requirements and standards;

·       Actas interface between Contractors and the Company;

·       PerformInstallation Analysis for fixed platforms

·       Followup detail installation engineering activities

·       Participatein the offshore campaign during the installation phase

·       Attendtechnical and coordination meetings;

·       Provideassistance during audit and Peer Review

·       Supportthe Mentoring and training of graduate and junior engineers

·       Participatein the Renewable Energy offshore floating project

RESPONSIBILITIES

·      Act as a technicalspecialist for Naval design activities

·      Teamwork and collaborationwith other colleagues in the Naval and Floating department

·      Liaise with otherdisciplines (offshore structures, pipelines, process, mechanical, CAD etc..)during project execution phase

·      Be Proactively involved withthe R&D Renewable Energy project

·      Keep abreast of Floatingstructures and Installation design standards

·      Regularly review thesuitability and accuracy of Eni technical standards and procedures and developnew ones as required

·      Undertake short term visitsto a wide range of operating site and Eni geographic regional officesworldwide.

·      Keep abreast of new legislationson plant design and performance

Ensure a high standard of safety is maintained and Environmental andQuality Assurance processes are followed    

Qualification

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE  AND EXPERIENCE

·      Experience in the Oil andGas industry in particular with respect to floating structures and JacketInstallation,

·      Fixed platform installationanalysis

·      Knowledge of mooringsystems,

·      Installation of topsidesusing heavy-lift vessels

·      Knowledge of software likeDNVGL SESAM suite, Autocad, MOSES, ORCAFLEX

  • Knowledge of standards for floating Structures design (IACS societies, ISO, API) and Offshore Installation (DNVGL)
  • Hull structure design  knowledge
  • Experience working on Renewable Energy projects
  • Pipeline installation experience would be beneficial (not essential)

QUALIFICATIONS

  • IdeallyDegree qualified in a relevant Engineering discipline such as NavalArchitecture Engineering, Offshore Engineering, Structural or MechanicalEngineering
